Senior Calypso Support Engineer (Relocation to Sweden)

We're looking for a Senior Calypso Engineer to join the Calypso team in Stockholm. You will provide day-to-day application support for the Calypso trading and risk platform, ensuring system stability, timely issue resolution, and effective collaboration with front office, middle office, back office, and technology teams. The role blends technical troubleshooting with functional understanding of trade lifecycle processes across asset classes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for the Calypso platform across trading, risk, settlements, and accounting modules.
  • Monitor batch jobs, scheduled tasks, interfaces, and system health via Calypso Scheduler and monitoring tools.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents raised by business users within agreed SLAs.
  • Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and escalate complex problems to support or development teams.
  • Support users across trade capture, confirmations, settlements, cash management, and reporting workflows.
  • Assist with end-of-day (EOD) and start-of-day (SOD) processes, including P&L, risk, and position reconciliation.
  • Troubleshoot pricing, valuation, and market data issues in coordination with quants and market data teams.
  • Support asset classes such as FX, Rates, Credit, MM, and Derivatives, as applicable.
  • Write and execute SQL queries using Oracle and Sybase to investigate data issues.
  • Review and interpret Calypso logs, engine outputs, and Java stack traces.
  • Support interface issues involving upstream and downstream systems, such as Murex, Swift, GL, and risk engines.
  • Assist with deployments, patch installations, environment refreshes, and user access management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience providing application support for the Calypso trading and risk platform.
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes across trading, risk, settlements, and accounting modules.
  • Understanding of EOD and SOD processes, including P&L, risk, and position reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and Sybase for data investigation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Calypso logs, engine outputs, and Java stack traces.
  • Experience supporting interfaces with upstream and downstream systems such as Murex, Swift, GL, and risk engines.
  • Background supporting asset classes such as FX, Rates, Credit, MM, and Derivatives.
  • Skills in incident triage, root cause analysis, and escalation to support or development teams.
  • Capability to assist with deployments, patch installations, environment refreshes, and user access management.
