Lead Security Engineer

Currently, for one of our Partners, we are looking for an experienced Lead Security Engineer to support a long‑term project delivered for a European Union organization based in Amsterdam.Responsibilities and Requirements:Minimum 4 years of experience in public sectorAct as the senior technical authority responsible for the architecture, implementation and operational leadership of enterprise network security controls across a hybrid environment encompassing campus infrastructure and multi-cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with a primary focus on Check Point security solutionsDesign, implement and operate security services across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environmentsLead lifecycle management of security infrastructure components, including firewalls, security gateways, IPS platforms and cloud-native security controlsDefine and maintain security policies, segmentation strategies and security controls aligned with the Agency’s security frameworkAct as senior escalation point for security incidents, operational issues and root cause investigationsEnsure coordinated implementation of security changes and assessment of security impacts across environmentsMonitor security service performance and support compliance with agreed SLAs, KPIs, audit and regulatory requirementsProvide technical guidance and recommendations supporting security posture improvement, automation, resilience and continuous improvementCertifications:Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) version R81 or more recentOffer:B2B contract via SHIMI PolandHybrid set-up: Remote with office visits in Amsterdam for a few days once a month, plus a requirement to come in next-day for urgent situations (with 24-hour notice).Rate: Share your expectationsLong-term cooperation
