Data Architect Databricks

We are looking for a Data Architect with strong Databricks expertise to join a project for a large banking institution. The role focuses on designing and implementing modern data platforms, supporting Databricks adoption and migrations, and preparing the organization for future Machine Learning and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-scale data architecture based on Databricks
• Support the implementation and adoption of Databricks within large organizations
• Lead or support data platform migrations to Databricks
• Define architecture standards, data flows, integration patterns and best practices
• Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, ML/AI and business teams
• Assess existing data environments and define target architecture
• Prepare data platforms and organizations for Machine Learning and AI initiatives
• Ensure scalability, security, governance and data quality
• Collaborate with architecture and technology teams within a large banking environment
• Provide technical guidance and support architectural decisions

Requirements

• Experience as a Data Architect
• Strong experience with Databricks
• Experience implementing Databricks in organizations
• Experience with migrations to Databricks
• Experience working in the banking / financial sector
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise organizations
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture and data platforms
• Experience preparing data environments for ML and AI initiatives
• Good understanding of data governance, security and scalability
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
• English – minimum C1

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity-related projects
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
• Knowledge of modern Data Lakehouse architecture
• Experience with regulatory and security requirements within financial institutions
