Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and streamline the OpenXLA pull request workflow within a large-scale, high-concurrency open-source C++ repository.
  • Diagnose, debug, and implement code fixes for failed OpenXLA pull requests and internal automated test suites where resolutions are well-understood or non-complex.

  • Escalate deep compiler/hardware architecture issues, special privilege requests, or non-trivial investigations to the appropriate FTE/rotation teams.

  • Hands-on professional background within semiconductor, chipmaker, hardware design, or enterprise hardware organizations.
  • Strong analytical and triage skills, with the ability to independently isolate root causes in software failures and determine escalation paths.
  • High degree of autonomy, proactive follow-up habits, and strong technical communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with LLVM infrastructure, compilers, or code generation frameworks.
  • Practical exposure to XLA, OpenXLA, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or deep learning compiler internals.
  • Conceptual understanding or hands-on experience with GPU/CPU internal architectures, memory models, and hardware acceleration, including CUDA or ROCm.
  • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted coding tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience working within Google internal development environments and tooling.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on bleeding-edge projects.
  • Work with a highly motivated and dedicated team.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Flexible schedule.
