Senior C++ Developer

We are seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join a global IT team. You will design and build digital products and services while helping transform the organization into an agile operating model.

You will develop IT solutions for FX Cash Trading and its stakeholders, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with international regulations. You will work closely with the COO team, control functions, and other IT teams.

Please note: 3 days in the office in flex-hybrid mode.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve digital products and technology services for clients and employees
• Apply software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• Ensure solution quality, security, reliability, and compliance by implementing functional and non-functional requirements
• Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, resolve incidents, and remediate root causes of risks and issues
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• Share knowledge and expertise, support hiring, and contribute to engineering culture and internal communities
• Support L3 activities independently when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, focused on Computer Science or Information Technology
• 5+ years of experience in a similar software development role within the finance sector
• Proficiency in C++ and hands-on experience with multi-threaded designs, development, and implementation for low-latency, complex real-time systems
• Knowledge of DBMS such as MS-SQL, Sybase, or Oracle
• Familiarity with middleware technologies, including IBM MQ and Kafka
• DevOps background, including managing and creating builds and releases with GitLab
• Understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• Interest in learning new technologies and practices, reusing strategic platforms and standards, evaluating options, and making decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• Strong communication skills, including presentations and technical writing
• English fluency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure
