Description

Develop AI-enabled Java microservices for a global collateral and facility management platform, helping reduce costs and accelerate delivery through an AI-enabled SDLC. Work in a hybrid model with up to 3 remote days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and support Java microservices using Spring Boot and related components to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
  • Contribute to microservices integration design in line with architecture and operational requirements.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers with cross-functional teams.
  • Follow and improve engineering standards for coding, CI/CD, testing, and security.
  • Deliver unit, integration, and contract tests that meet quality standards.
  • Participate in technical reviews, security assessments, and remediation activities.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining code quality, security, and compliance.
  • Apply guardrails for AI-generated code, with strong review discipline and traceability.
  • Contribute to GenAI-enabled engineering patterns, including RAG, LLMs, and agent workflows.
  • Apply security-by-design principles and build observability into production services.
  • Support releases, environment setup, and cutover planning.
  • Collaborate with Tech Leads, architects, QA, platform specialists, and SREs.
  • Promote continuous improvement and shared accountability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on Java microservices development experience in enterprise environments, preferably with Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS, including Oracle or PostgreSQL, schema design, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and quality gates, including Jenkins or GitLab, Sonar, and SAST/DAST.
  • Good knowledge of REST APIs, messaging, event-driven patterns, and API versioning.
  • Practical GCP experience.
  • Familiarity with GenAI concepts, tools, and governance, including LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Ability to contribute to technical design and make pragmatic trade-offs under delivery pressure.
  • Communicative English for effective collaboration in a multicultural team.
  • Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering regulated financial-services platforms with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to cloud-native architectures, including containers, Kubernetes, and service meshes.
  • Knowledge of observability tooling and resilience testing.
  • Experience prototyping or integrating GenAI capabilities in software solutions.
