Mid-Level Java Developer – Cloud-Native and Microservices

Description

As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to building a modern, cloud-native environment for securities settlements and post-trade processing systems. You will use advanced technologies and AI-assisted development tools to support innovation in financial services and operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Work with event-driven architectures using Kafka to enable scalable, real-time data processing.
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes, using Argo CD for continuous delivery.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline management with GitLab to streamline development workflows.
• Monitor and observe system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.
• Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Use AI tools, including GitHub Copilot, Devin, and Claude, to improve productivity and code quality.
• Contribute to the evolution of security and post-trade processing infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SDLC tools such as GitLab.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Communicative English.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with securities settlements and post-trade processing systems.
• Familiarity with Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic Stack.
• Experience with AI development tools such as Devin, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
