Validation Engineer

Introduction & Summary:

The Validation Engineer is responsible for executing all activities related to the System Validation test scope, adhering to internal best practices while focusing on delivery, quality, and cost objectives. This role is integral to the System Validation team, ensuring high standards in automotive validation processes.

Main Responsibilities:

Core duty involves conducting comprehensive system validation tests aligned with established strategies and standards.

• Creation and execution of test patterns/sequences for system validation.

• Design, review, and execute test cases based on system architecture requirements.

• Conduct scenario-based testing, analyze results, and report defects.

• Develop test cases for Technical Safety Concept/System Requirement (ISO 26262).

• Define system automation test strategies in accordance with internal test automation environments.

• Review System Architecture Design focusing on testability.

• Ensure requirement traceability from architecture to system test cases.

• Implement automated test cases in the established Automated Test Environment.

• Generate System Test Reports per organizational standards.

• Manage defects by tracking progress towards resolution.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Electrical.

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Seat, Cluster, ADAS Validation.

• Proficient understanding of automotive systems: CAN, Ethernet, CAPL, Python.

• Knowledge of product architecture (Infotainment, Cluster, ADAS).

• Experience with ASPICE and Agile methodologies.

• Ability to analyze system architecture and requirements.

• Experience in driving test cases and test scripts.

• Familiarity with Requirements Management Tools (ALM, Interenterprise Architect) and Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence).

• Hands-on experience with Toolchains: Vector Canoe, VT system, Vteststudio, V-Flash DIVA.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a Scrum team within Agile frameworks.

• Familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Experience with ASPICE SYS4 & SYS5.

• Vehicle testing experience.

• Knowledge of COM protocols like 100BT1, 10BT1S, DOIP, SomeIP, TCP, UDP.
