Introduction & Summary

The Validation Engineer executes activities within the System Validation test scope, following internal best practices and focusing on delivery, quality, and cost objectives. The role supports the System Validation team in maintaining high standards for automotive validation processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive system validation tests in line with established strategies and standards.
  • Create and execute test patterns and sequences for system validation.
  • Design, review, and execute test cases based on system architecture requirements.
  • Conduct scenario-based testing, analyze results, and report defects.
  • Develop test cases for the Technical Safety Concept and System Requirements in accordance with ISO 26262.
  • Define system automation test strategies according to internal test automation environments.
  • Review System Architecture Design with a focus on testability.
  • Ensure requirement traceability from architecture through to system test cases.
  • Implement automated test cases in the established Automated Test Environment.
  • Generate System Test Reports according to organizational standards.
  • Manage defects and track progress through resolution.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in Seat, Cluster, or ADAS validation.
  • Proficient understanding of automotive systems, including CAN, Ethernet, CAPL, and Python.
  • Knowledge of product architecture for Infotainment, Cluster, and ADAS.
  • Experience with ASPICE and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze system architecture and requirements.
  • Experience creating and driving test cases and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with Requirements Management Tools, including ALM and Interenterprise Architect, and the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe, VT System, vTESTstudio, and V-Flash DIVA.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a Scrum team within Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
