This role focuses heavily on driving AI-assisted development practices through hands-on leadership and technical direction.
AI Adoption Leadership
- Model hands-on use of AI coding tools including Claude and GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain standards for AI-assisted development.
- Establish measurable benchmarks for velocity and quality improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend new AI tools and workflows.
- Coach developers on AI prompting and AI-native workflows.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on AI-assisted .NET development.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Manage six .NET developers through reviews, coaching, and career development.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and team stand-ups.
- Promote continuous improvement and technical craftsmanship.
- Create development paths combining .NET and AI-augmented practices.
Delivery & Project Execution
- Own the development backlog and release calendar.
- Ensure projects are scoped, tracked, and documented.
- Manage competing priorities and escalate conflicts.
- Use AI tools to improve planning and retrospectives.
Technical Direction
- Guide architectural decisions and code quality standards for the .NET stack.
- Evaluate AI-native development approaches and LLM-integrated features.
