About the Project

Join an international team developing a next-generation Big Data platform focused on detecting and preventing financial crime. The platform leverages Big Data technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to analyze large-scale datasets, enabling investigators, intelligence analysts, and data scientists to identify potential financial crime risks worldwide.

You will become part of a team of over 150 professionals working across Poland, the UK, and China in an Agile Scrum environment. The teams operate in two-week sprints with six-week release cycles, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark on Google Cloud Platform.

  • Build scalable Big Data solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets.

  • Work with Apache Airflow to orchestrate workflows and validate automated tests.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from technical analysis to production deployments.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code through testing, refactoring, and bug fixing.

  • Collaborate closely with distributed development teams, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.

  • Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.

  • Share technical knowledge and support continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

Must-have

  • Strong hands-on experience with Scala and Apache Spark.

  • Experience using GitHub.

  • Basic knowledge of Python and Apache Airflow.

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.

  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Knowledge of JUnit, TDD, and BDD practices.

  • Experience with Jenkins.

  • Understanding of Clean Code principles, SOLID, KISS, DRY, and design patterns.

  • Experience with Elasticsearch.
