As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be working on building reliable software through end-to-end test coverage—spanning REST/SOAP APIs, E2E flows, contract validation, and CI/CD automation. You will strengthen test frameworks, improve quality metrics, and help deliver stable releases faster through proactive defect diagnosis and clear, actionable reporting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs (REST/SOAP) and E2E (Playwright + TypeScript)
  • Create test scenarios and backend + end-to-end flow test cases using a risk-based approach
  • Validate API contracts, including error scenarios, to ensure correct behavior across integrations
  • Develop and refactor test frameworks in Java and TypeScript, keeping them maintainable and scalable
  • Analyze test results across functional, integration, and performance checks, and drive improvements based on findings
  • Diagnose defects by investigating logs, requests, and data, then document findings with full reproduction steps (including logs and recordings when needed)
  • Maintain and grow test execution in CI/CD pipelines and perform code reviews for test assets in collaboration with developers
  • Support requirements analysis, refinement, and sprint planning, while contributing to the overall test strategy and quality metrics

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in automated testing (API and/or E2E)
  • Very strong knowledge of Java for backend automation
  • Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills
  • Experience with API testing (REST), using tools such as Rest Assured and/or Gatling
  • Proven experience with E2E automation using Playwright
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation
  • Experience with Git (PRs & code review)
  • Practical experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) plus Maven or Gradle
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Good command of Polish
  • Communicative English
  • Existing legal right to work in Europe

Nice to Have

  • Experience with performance testing (e.g., Gatling)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Experience with tools like Swagger and API mocking
