The Role

Experienced professionals in Software Developer leadership roles are invited to participate in upcoming research projects focused on workflow management tools and development processes. The focus is on individuals involved in evaluating, selecting, purchasing, or making decisions about workflow management tools within their organizations.

If qualified, participants complete a short 10- to 15-minute assessment and, upon success, join as paid participants sharing their expertise with researchers and organisations. Researchers may pay up to $200 per hour, with some tasks requiring up to one hour of uninterrupted work.

Eligibility

Manager-level position or above
Background in Software Engineering, Software Development, Product Management, or UX/Product Design
Current use or active consideration of workflow management tools
Participation in decision-making regarding development, product, or workflow management tools

Note: This is a bench model. Eligibility for research opportunities depends on project demand and professional profile matching.

What You’ll Bring

Manager-level experience or higher in software engineering, product management, or product design
Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, or managing workflow management tools
Familiarity with software, product, or design workflows
Involvement in purchasing decisions, budgeting, or strategic recommendations related to development and collaboration tools

What You’ll Be Doing

Complete a paid screener to assess suitability for research tasks
Participate in AI-moderated interviews and written tasks
Complete qualitative surveys and feedback activities
Share insights about workflow management practices and tool selection

Key Technologies

Direct experience with tools such as Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, GitHub Projects, GitLab Issues/Boards, Shortcut, Asana, ClickUp, or Monday.com is required.
