OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
The Human Resources Partner is responsible for providing HR Generalist support to the BioLife Plasma Services network. This role will support designated districts and help to coordinate, implement, and monitor HR programs and policies across various plasma center locations. This role helps provide training and coaching to district and center management on employment related matters. As part of the BioLife HR team, this individual will assist in implementing the human resources strategy across the BioLife organization. Serves as a key business partner to center and district management.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Helps to support organizational initiatives for leadership development, performance management, compensation, employee training and development, reward and recognition systems, career path, job analysis and descriptions, compliance, and employee relations.
- Partners with district and center management to help support employee engagement and retention through various efforts
- Complete in-person field-based employee listening sessions to gauge location environment. Make recommendations to management based on feedback received.
- Helps develop, implement, and support HR programs and processes to support overall effectiveness of the BioLife business.
- Helps to champion and drive Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I).
- Analyzes trends in turnover, hiring, promotion, separation, grievances, etc. to recommend preventative actions needed to adjust unfavorable trends.
- Manages employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and work/performance issues while ensuring legal compliance across regions, leveraging employee abilities and managing risk. Effectively investigates issues, makes recommendations, and takes appropriate action.
- Participates in local talent planning which includes implementation of function-wide training and development plans and talent management support including support of leadership assessment process. Partners with district and center management to identify and address talent development needs.
- Partners and liaises with Talent Acquisition function to ensure workforce planning, recruiting and hiring strategies are met.
- Helps to provide management training to new and existing managers across the network. May create and facilitate HR training for new and existing managers.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends; provide reporting and analysis on turnover trends
- Helps to support managers through employee leave of absence processes by serving as a liaison between the employee, leave of absence team, and management. Helps to answer employee and manager questions related to leave of absence, FMLA, short-term disability, and personal leave of absence.
- Leave of Absence oversight and management of the Reasonable Accommodation process.
- Other HR and business projects as assigned.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3-5 years Human Resources generalist experience required with California employment law and employee relations experience.
- Human Resources experience in the health care or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Prior human resource professional experience working with leaders in a large / matrix organization is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Willingness to travel to various BioLife locations up to 40-50% including overnight trips.

$96,600.00 - $151,800.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. About the Role This role is ideal for a seasoned individual contributor who excels at translating complex B2B platforms into intuitive, polished experiences. You bring a proactive mindset and an exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that even the most intricate systems feel clear, elegant, and human. You've driven strategic initiatives before and know when to zoom out to shape visionโand when to zoom in to refine the craft and ship with confidence. Your work will directly support wellness businesses that help people live healthier lives, making the impact of great design both meaningful and measurable. What you'll do Identify strategic opportunities where design can drive business growth and inspire new product directions. Anticipate future needs and create compelling product visions that align design, product, engineering, and leadership. Share work regularly with leaders and cross-functional partners, incorporating feedback quickly and thoughtfully. Champion excellence in craft and product thinking, setting a high bar for quality across the organization. Communicate ideas through polished prototypes, clear narratives, and strong storytelling. Build resilient, scalable frameworks that elevate design quality and consistency across the entire product. Who you are You have 5+ years of product design experience. You balance ambitious vision with staged, thoughtful rollouts. You see product and design leadership as intertwined and embrace opportunities to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity. You thrive on complexity and love diving into broad, deep problem spaces. You excel at working independently to turn ambiguous, cross-functional problems into clear, cohesive visions. You translate business objectives into customer-centered design opportunities. You're a strong product thinker who forms rigorous hypotheses, influences team understanding, and spots new opportunities. You analyze qualitative and quantitative insights and turn them into actionable recommendations. You're excited about creating experiences that reduce friction for small and growing businesses so they can focus on what mattersโtransforming people's well-being. Pay transparency It is Playlist's intent to pay all Team Members competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair and equitable. The goal of Playlist's compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The base salary range for this position in the United States is $140k to $175k.
