As a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – DevOps & Security, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, dedicated to delivering secure, high-performance cloud solutions. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and managing highly resilient Azure environments, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.
Your main responsibilities:
- Build and manage HSBC’s Azure foundation platform to enable seamless application deployments.
- Engineer solutions on Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, following best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and document code libraries for functional pattern lifecycle processes.
- Integrate, configure, and manage centrally provided cloud services (IAM, networking, monitoring, containers, OS images).
- Oversee Azure connectivity components, including ExpressRoute, DNS, IP management, traffic routing, NSGs, and firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and operational risk standards across network, OS, logging, and resiliency domains.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps within Azure.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying services in Azure.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security and compliance tools related to IAM and cloud auditing.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with automation and scripting beyond Terraform.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and operational risk standards.
