As part of the Web and Digital Experience team supporting the Marketing department of SmartBear, we develop and maintain all corporate, open-source, and e-commerce websites across the SmartBear portfolio. With millions of visitors each month, we focus on user experience, performance, accessibility, and scalable architecture. We use modern frontend tools and frameworks, work with multiple CMS platforms, and partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver business-critical web experiences.
About the role:
As a Web Developer, you'll contribute to developing, maintaining, and optimizing SmartBear’s marketing websites. You’ll work alongside a collaborative internal team of developers, design, QA, and digital strategists, while supporting cross-functional needs from Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and others. You’ll be empowered to suggest and implement improvements to our codebase, CMS configurations, and development workflows.
Build and maintain accessible, responsive pages and components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Astro) and Tailwind CSS
Develop templates and implement designs in WordPress and Astro-based sites
Support website migrations and optimize performance, accessibility, and scalability
Collaborate with design, QA, and stakeholders to implement solutions
Assist content editors and troubleshoot issues across CMS environments, browsers, and devices
Participate in task execution, code reviews, and iterative improvement of our tools and workflows
We are looking for you if you have:
3–5 years of hands-on experience in modern web development
Proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), Git, and NPM
Experience with component-based frameworks (React, Astro, or similar)
Experience working with content management systems (WordPress a plus)
Familiarity with accessibility standards, responsive design, and performance best practices
