PROJECT MANAGER (R&D)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of R&D projects. The nature of our department is highly dynamic, with constantly evolving priorities and initiatives. The ideal candidate is adaptable, able to respond swiftly to change, and capable of adjusting existing plans accordingly. We place strong emphasis on close client collaboration and proactive ownership of the sales process through identifying emerging needs and opportunities for expanding partnerships.

This role at Synergy Codes:

  • Managing the end-to-end delivery process of projects within R&D teams

  • Supporting the team as a line manager (conducting 1:1 meetings, performance and development reviews, providing feedback, and fostering engagement and growth)

  • Creating, monitoring, and reporting on project timelines, budgets, and execution plans

  • Collaborating closely with clients on a day-to-day basis – clarifying requirements, gathering feedback, and proposing tailored solutions

  • Preparing project estimates, participating in sales meetings, and supporting the proposal development process

  • Proactively identifying new project opportunities within existing client accounts by monitoring progress and uncovering additional areas for team involvement

  • Managing project risks by tracking potential issues and making key decisions to mitigate them

We are looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the IT industry

  • Experience managing small to mid-sized teams, including conducting 1:1s and development conversations

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong process-oriented mindset with the ability to map and optimize workflows

  • An AI-driven mindset – curiosity and willingness to learn, explore, and apply AI tools

  • Experience working directly with clients (e.g., as a Project Manager, Account Manager, or in a similar role)

  • Ability to identify client business needs and translate them into actionable project initiatives

  • Proactive approach to growing client relationships and securing new project opportunities

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently

  • Fluency in English (minimum C1 level) – experience working with international clients

What we offer:

  • A high level of ownership and autonomy in shaping both projects and client relationships – this is not a delivery-only role, but one with real impact on how things are built and grown

  • A dynamic R&D environment where priorities evolve quickly, giving you exposure to diverse challenges rather than repetitive project cycles

  • Close collaboration with experienced engineers and direct access to decision-making – we are a ~60-person software house, so your voice is heard and matters

  • A role that goes beyond classic project management – combining delivery, client partnership, and contribution to identifying new opportunities within ongoing collaborations

  • A culture built on trust, transparency, and accountability, where independence is expected and supported

If this sounds like the kind of challenge you’ve been looking for, we’d love to connect.
