Investigator Relations Technology Informatics Partner

The Site and Investigator Engagement area delivers the comprehensive digital ecosystem and integrated platforms required to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of clinical site interactions, covering efficient study planning, country and site selection, site activation, and patient enrollment forecasting. Additionally, it manages the core technologies to handle complex administrative tasks, including budgeting and negotiation, clinical contracts, payments, and clinical information exchange. The team acts as a strategic liaison connecting Global Pharma Clinical Operations, Country Operations, strategic CROs, and Clinical Sites. Through this alignment, the area architects technology portfolios that foster strong external relationships and drive a unified, partner-centric clinical ecosystem.
As an Informatics Partner at this level, you lead strategic and complex cross-functional efforts across countries or domains, aligning initiatives with country-wide priorities and business outcomes. You anticipate and solve complex, systems-level problems, drive innovation, and shape domain vision while managing multiple workstreams with high accountability.
The opportunity:

Navigates highly complex, competing demands between global and local teams. Employs data-driven frameworks to transition subjective business priorities into objective, scalable technology roadmaps and robust operational resolutions.
Stakeholder Management: Manages relationships across Global Pharma Clinical Operations, Country Operations, APO, and strategic CROs with trust and expertise, effectively communicates complex ideas, and contributes to strategic business initiatives. Shapes joint business-IT collaborations and proactively drives global process improvements. Proactively manages competing priorities across these diverse local and global stakeholders to drive a unified, 'One-Roche' approach to external clinical site and investigator interactions.
Impact/Strategy: Leads vision and roadmap creation, effectively connects across domains, and anticipates strategic needs at country-wide levels, solving strategically valuable challenges such as initiatives to combat investigator 'Portal Fatigue' by migrating fragmented legacy systems toward unified, partner-centric platforms.
Complexity/Product Size: Supports domain-level work within certain countries.
Business/Technical ability: Leads technology advocacy with advanced expertise, serves as a key opinion leader, manages stakeholders end-to-end, and scales piloted solutions to maximize impact.
Who you are:
Strategic Leadership: 5+ years in product management leading complex, cross-functional projects and global architectural shifts through strong business-IT collaboration.
Pharma & Clinical Expertise: 2+ years in Pharma/Biotech with deep knowledge of the clinical site lifecycle—from selection and activation to contracts and payments.
Technical Strategy: Skilled in systems thinking, roadmap creation, and scaling event-driven (API) and FAIR-compliant data foundations.
Data Proficiency: Experienced in Snowflake and cloud data platforms to build predictive analytics (e.g., recruitment forecasting) and optimize investigator experiences.
Collaborative Mindset: Proactive, forward-looking partner dedicated to the "One-Roche" vision and driving high-impact outcomes in ambiguous, regulated environments.

If you like to work with us, let us share our need for competencies - we look for a Team Leader - Digital Trust Your daily responsibilities Guide development team in software development and general engineering practices Serve as the direct supervisor for a team of developers, managing their day-to-day engagement and well-being Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings to provide feedback, remove blockers, and align individual goals with company objectives Technical mentoring of developers in the team Work with the team to analyze and estimate backlog and plan development tasks Deliver features based on functional specification with cooperation with Product Owner and Functional Analyst Participate in code review process to ensure application quality, consistency and spread of good engineering practices Troubleshoot and investigate production technical issues within microservices owned by your team Implement and improve non-functional product items eg: High Availability, performance, platform monitoring Prepare and perform software patching due to security constraints, libraries eol etc Provide estimation input for roadmap items to the Product Owner Explain technical issues with non-technical team members eg: Product Owner Contributes to common libraries used across products Keep technical debt of product at a low level We need you to have Proven experience in a Team Leader or Engineering Manager role Strong knowledge and experience in Java (8 to 11+) General knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle and practices, including current industry trends Leadership skills and experience in leading or mentoring developers Experience working with Kubernetes / Docker Proficiency in using GIT Working experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, WEB Services (REST and Soap) Knowledge of Unix ecosystem and tools (+Bash scripting) Understanding of networking topology and components of distributed web applications Good understanding of SQL database design and operations (SQL syntax) Familiar with CI/CD and automation tools (Jenkins) Familiar with an Agile development process (code reviews, daily standups, sprint definition, review and retros) Strong time estimation skills, and a track record of achieving deadlines Would be great if you have Experience with MongoDB, Oracle, Hazelcast in-memory DB Knowledge about PKI mechanisms : Cryptography, Certificates, HSM Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) Working experience with commercial software development, testing and deployment processes (Testlink) Working experience with cloud services based on API ; OpenAPI Our Architecture and Technology Stack programming language: Java 8 to 11+ Kubernetes / Docker GIT SpringBoot, SpringSecurity, Hibernate, WebServices (REST, Soap) CI/CD tools: Jenkins DB: Mongo, Oracle IntelliJ Prometheus, Grafana Hazelcast in-memory DB HSMs cloud services based on API, OpenAPI Testlink Helm Maven Our offer In addition to great company and challenging projects, we can offer much, much more, i.e. possibility to choose from onsite (in Lodz, Poland) or hybrid work ( one day a week in our office in Łódź city center ) reporting line to an experienced Technical Manager located in Poland B2B or employment contract monthly remuneration offered: 1.400 - 1.500 PLN net per day on B2B and 22.000 - 24.000 zł on the employment agreement
