Due to our ongoing growth and the large number of recruitment projects we undertake for our partners, we are currently looking for: Database Administrator / Engineer (PostgreSQL / Cloud Migration)

Responsibilities:

Migrate PostgreSQL databases from on-premises platforms to Google Cloud
Support and maintain PostgreSQL running on VM-based and/or managed cloud services
Perform core database administration tasks, including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and optimization
Support the onboarding of various applications to the new PostgreSQL platforms
Troubleshoot incidents and actively support change and release management activities
Collaborate closely with cloud infrastructure, security, and application stakeholders
Create and maintain detailed documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles

Requirements:

4+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA / Database Engineer
Deep technical knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, performance tuning, and configuration
Proven experience executing database migrations from on-premises environments to the cloud
Practical experience running PostgreSQL on cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred)
Solid understanding of replication, backup, recovery, and High Availability (HA) concepts
Experience supporting critical systems in large enterprise or regulated environments

Nice to have:

Experience with native PostgreSQL managed services and Google Cloud infrastructure
Proficiency in automation and scripting
Familiarity with cloud networking security and compliance requirements
