Introduction & Summary:
This role focuses on maintaining the security and functionality of a large firewall environment through regular updates, addressing vulnerabilities, and executing service requests efficiently to safeguard network integrity. The ideal candidate will possess very good networking knowledge and excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies.
Main Responsibilities:
Technical planning of updates.
Preparation of necessary activities and creation of change requests.
If required, present the activities in various Change Advisory Boards.
Execution and post-implementation review of updates.
Execution of firewall service orders (e.g., firewall rule activations and deletions).
Key Requirements:
Very good networking knowledge.
Excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies.
Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible.

Ihre Kernverantwortungen umfassen: Betrieb komplexer Netzwerkinfrastrukturen im militärischen Hochsicherheitsumfeld. Konfiguration, Betrieb und Monitoring von aktiven Netzwerkkomponenten. Analyse und Behebung von Störungen im Netzwerkbetrieb. Umsetzung von IT-Sicherheitsmaßnahmen. Dokumentation der Systeme und Prozesse. Zusammenarbeit mit internen Fachabteilungen, externen Dienstleistern und Vertretern der Auftraggeber. Wesentliche Anforderungen: Die erforderlichen Fähigkeiten und Qualifikationen sind: Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Bereich Netzwerktechnik/Systemadministration. Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Administration von Netzwerkumgebungen (Routing, Switching, VLAN, QinQ, SpanningTree, IPSec, L2TP). Aktuelle Zertifikate im Bereich CISCO und/oder HPE Aruba (z.B. CCNA, CCNP, Aruba Certified). Sicherer Umgang mit gängigen Betriebssystemen (Windows Server, Linux - bevorzugt Debian und RedHat). Praktische Erfahrung in der Konfiguration von Firewall-Systemen (insbesondere Fortinet und CheckPoint). Kenntnisse im Bereich infrastructure services (Active Directory, PKI, DNS, DHCP). Kenntnisse im Bereich Virtualisierung (VMware VSphere, ESXi, vCenter, und ProxMox). Erfahrungen im Bereich Storage-Technologie (SAN, vSan, NAS) und den gängigen Protokollen (SMB, NFS, iSCSI). Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse. Fähigkeit zur klaren und verständlichen Dokumentation komplexer Prozesse.
