Warszawa-based opportunity with on-site work model As a Test Engineer , you will be working for our client, a leader in delivering mission-critical business applications. You will play a vital role in ensuring the robustness of key systems through hands-on testing, data validation, and backend process analysis, contributing directly to product excellence and user satisfaction. Your main responsibilities: Plan, design, and execute manual tests (functional, integration, regression) to ensure system integrity Perform data validation, including checking data flows, transformations, and backend processing accuracy Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support testing activities Test APIs (REST, SOAP), analyze application logs, and database data to identify defects and root causes Create and maintain detailed test documentation such as test cases, scenarios, and reports Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues efficiently Report and track defects throughout their lifecycle using Jira or similar tools Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and overall product quality Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies like PI Planning, Sprint Planning, and Daily Stand-ups You're ideal for this role if you have: 3+ years of experience as a Manual Tester / QA Engineer Strong SQL knowledge, capable of writing complex queries (JOINs, subqueries, GROUP BY) Experience testing backend systems or data-driven applications Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL) Ability to analyze business and technical requirements effectively Familiarity with testing tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail Excellent test documentation skills Good understanding of testing techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, etc.) Strong organizational skills and independence in work Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments It is a strong plus if you have: (optional) Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Postman, Python, Java, Selenium) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Language Required for the role: English – good command required Eligibility for the role: Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered for this role. #MAKEYourCareerBETTER Interested?
