Introduction & Summary

We are seeking two QA Engineers, at mid and senior levels, to join our team working on the CaaS project. This role is crucial in validating data and APIs within a cloud-based workflow environment, emphasizing an automation-first mindset. Candidates should possess hands-on experience in automated testing with Python and familiarity with AWS services, API testing, and data validation techniques.

 

Main Responsibilities

The QA Engineers will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of critical enterprise capabilities across Sanoma Learning.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for APIs, data pipelines, and platform services.

  • Ensure data quality and correctness across content ingestion, enrichment, and delivery flows.

  • Validate JSON schemas and shared data models across multiple consuming systems.

  • Test REST APIs, including contract, integration, and regression testing.

  • Verify data persistence and transformations across relational databases and object storage.

  • Monitor and validate platform behavior using logs, metrics, and alerts.

  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers to contribute to quality practices early in the development lifecycle.

 

Key Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Python and pytest for automated testing (at least 2 years).

Project information: Industry: Travel Location: Warsaw, Poland Work Setup: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the office Rate: 130 – 150 PLN/net/h + VAT on B2B Languages: English (B2+ Required) Start date: ASAP/ depending on candidate availability Project scope: Participate in internal/external forums and discussions around QA methodology/framework/tooling evolution Analyze, define, and execute test standards and procedures for complex and cross-functional solutions. Master QA methodologies, including test planning, design, execution, and reporting. Document defects, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Design/create/enhance/improve scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks, test plans, test cases, and test data, using mainly Selenium & Selenium Grid. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for test automation Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins. Propose relevant KPI and ways of measuring them efficiently, for both software deliverables and compliance Ensure adoption and improvement of testing tools & environments: promote existing ones to avoid duplication, evaluate them, and recommend improvements Continuously evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the automation process Participate in the understanding, measurement, and reduction of the environmental impact of the tested applications and associated QA activities Requirements: Mastery of QA methodologies, including test planning, design, execution, and reporting Strong skills in defect documentation, root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions Expertise in QA tools, test environments, and test automation frameworks/solutions Extensive knowledge and experience in the usage of Selenium & Selenium Grid Strong skills in programming, architecture, and design patterns in Java Proven experience as a QA Architect or Senior QA Engineer in cloud-based environments, preferably Azure Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins) Strong Cloud experience - Azure or similar Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices Hold a proficient product domain knowledge incl. relevant business processes & scenarios and a proficient understanding of customer needs Certification in QA and automation testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus Skills Level: Strong skills in programming, architecture, and design patterns in Java → Confirmed 3/4 Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices → Confirmed ¾ Extensive knowledge and experience in the usage of Selenium & Selenium Grid → Expert 4/4 Expertise in QA tools, test environments, and test automation frameworks/solutions → Expert 4/4 Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins) → Confirmed 3/4 We offer: Full-time job agreement based on B2B Private medical care with dental care (covering 70% of costs) + rehabilitation package.
