Position overview

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Python and TestComplete for automated testing of both web and desktop applications. This role is vital to ensuring the highest quality standards for our proprietary trading systems and investment platforms.

The QA Automation Engineer will collaborate closely with development and product teams to develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts covering functional, regression, and performance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and define relevant and testable test cases for hedge fund processes and applications.

  • Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, report defects, and verify fixes to ensure continuous quality improvement.

  • Implement and integrate automated testing practices into CI/CD pipelines to support faster release cycles and improve deployment efficiency.

  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, to support traceability and compliance requirements.

  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure systems can handle anticipated user loads and transaction volumes typical of the investment sector.

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve issues in applications and automated tests, collaborating closely with development teams to implement solutions.

  • Promote testing best practices and provide recommendations for improving existing test strategies and tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automated testing using Python.

  • Expertise in testing strategies and methodologies for both web and desktop applications, preferably within financial services or hedge fund environments.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks, architecture, and design patterns.

  • Strong understanding of financial products, trading systems, or investment platforms, with the ability to translate complex domain knowledge into effective test scenarios.

  • Experience with API testing tools and techniques is a plus.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software.
