Our in-house tech operation includes an experienced, Poland-based team of eight software developers, working in close collaboration with our London-based Group Product Manager and a dedicated digital design team of three UI/UX designers and one UX researcher. Together, they build and maintain a wide array of websites and software platforms — more than 30 in total — that support and power every area of the business.
This includes everything from high-traffic media sites across multiple geographies and verticals in iGaming, to specialized corporate websites and internal business tools, to our flagship platforms like SBCevents.com, the global marketing hub for all our events, and SBCconnect.com, our fully in-house developed companion app for attendees. SBC Connect is a complex and ever-evolving product, enabling networking, event navigation, conference agendas, floorplans, and more — and is an integral part of our delegate experience.
Your role will be crucial in improving and implementing Quality Assurance processes within our organization. Your expertise will be essential in establishing best practices. As the first specialist in this area, you will have a unique opportunity to develop workflows, processes, and standards from scratch. Your insights and experience will play a key role in shaping how we deliver finished features and products, significantly influencing the software development life cycle.
As SBC grows, so will our Development Team (which currently consists of 8 people). In this role, you'll have the opportunity to grow with the company. Initially a solo role, it may eventually evolve into leading a sub-department of Quality Assurance within the Development Division. ABOUT YOU
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in software testing or system analysis
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including functional specifications and test plans.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a focus on proactivity

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution
- Conduct and coordinate testing with end users to ensure the quality of software releases
- Work closely with developers to understand the technical aspects of features for effective testing.
- Participate in the review of software design, user experience, and performance
- Prepare and develop issue-tracking approaches / systems to enable effective documentation of inconsistencies or issues.
- Create and maintain test policies, test plan and error report methodology
- Document process executing testing, to include: detecting and analysing software defects, mapping defects, re-testing, regression testing and system integration testing
- Develop and execute test plans and scenarios to ensure software functionality aligns with defined requirements.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for software improvements and enhancements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the roadmap (which aligns with the company’s event calendar and other business priorities), working closely with the CTO to ensure proactive preparation for upcoming projects and tasks, minimising last-minute surprises and rushed implementations
