What’s the role about?
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex enterprise software, particularly in storage and data backup domains.
Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback on product quality and readiness.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
Act as a subject matter expert for specific product areas and technical domains within the QA team.
Who are we looking for?
Proven experience as a QA Tester, with a significant portion in a senior or lead capacity.
Strong understanding and practical experience with SAN protocols (FC, FCoE, iSCSI).
Proficiency with various operating systems, including Windows Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Must-have hands-on experience with data archiving and backup applications (NetBackup, Veeam Backup&Replication, IBM Storage Protect, Commvault)
Familiarity with ISTQB standards and methodologies.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with various storage interfaces and protocols, including object storage (S3), network file systems (CIFS, NFS), and virtual tape library (VTL) technologies such as Virtual Jukebox (VJUK) and Virtual Automated Cartridge System (VACS).
Foundational understanding of networking concepts, including routing, proxy, DNS, and IPv4.
Demonstrable hands-on experience with enterprise storage software solutions (experience with CS8000 is highly desirable).
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Nice to have – while not mandatory, these additional skills will make you stand out:
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python)
Experience with other data archiving/backup solutions beyond the "must-have" general experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
