Carl Zeiss IQS is a global leader in high precision machines and software for industrial quality control. We are looking for a leader of our growing electronics development team in Gdynia. In this position you will be responsible for:
Supervising the team of electronics designers (up to 10 people),
Ensuring realization of electronics development tasks that include: managing requirements, hardware design (schematics, PCB, system level integration), MCU firmware development, compliance (EMC, safety), documentation and transferring to series production,
Taking part in recruitment of new team members,
Ensuring effective communication within the team and with other teams in the organization (including in Germany),
Business trips to Germany (Oberkochen),
Overview and participation in improvement of engineering development processes,
Leading development projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
University degree in electronics engineering or related field,
7+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in field of electronics development,
2+ years of experience in people management,
Past experience in project management / leading projects,
Good understanding of electronics development process (MCU firmware development, gathering requirements, schematics and PCB design, prototype bring-up, EMC tests, documentation, manufacturing and assembly),
Good communication skills,
Proactivity and openness,
Ability to organize work under conditions of uncertainty and varying requirements,
Fluent communication in English,
Willingness to travel to Germany for business a few times a year and once every two months during the onboarding period
