Description

Build and optimize a scalable data platform that supports complex financial workflows. You will design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and reliable Spark/Java processing jobs, while analyzing multi-source data and turning insights into technical specifications. Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams with code reviews, documentation, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions for collecting, transforming, and processing large datasets

• Analyze data from multiple sources and translate insights into technical specifications

• Implement and industrialize scalable and resilient Spark/Java data processing jobs

• Perform code reviews and collaborate for continuous improvement

• Deliver value in Agile teams (Scrum cycles) and support innovative project delivery

• Stay current with evolving big data technologies and apply best practices

• Support applications, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure quality standards

• Produce technical documentation, test plans, and project artifacts

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in big data engineering (ideally in banking/finance)

• Strong expertise in Spark and Java; Python knowledge is a plus

• Experience/knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD tools, and microservices

• Fluent English (spoken and written)

• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills

• Proactive teamwork across global teams and ability to communicate across time zones

• Legal right to work in the European Union
