Description

Lead functional design, configuration, and optimization of SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions for international SAP transformation programs. Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant SAP processes and guide delivery from requirements and configuration through testing, go-live, and stabilization. Drive S/4HANA fit-to-standard activities and ensure correct integration, documentation, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FI/CO functional design aligned to enterprise architecture, finance strategy, internal controls, and program objectives

• Analyze and optimize record-to-report, AP, AR, asset and bank accounting, cost and profit center accounting, internal orders, product costing, and profitability analysis

• Lead S/4HANA fit-to-standard workshops, configuration, and delivery across implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and migrations

• Configure organizational structures, ledgers, currencies, taxes, payments, allocations, settlements, period-end closing, and management reporting

• Ensure integration with MM, SD, PP, PS, HCM, Treasury, Group Reporting, and relevant interfaces/third-party applications

• Create process designs, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceable documentation

• Coordinate unit, integration, regression, and UAT; resolve defects; support data validation, cutover, go-live, and handover

• Recommend standardized solutions and challenge unnecessary customization; contribute to design governance, risk assessment, and change control

• Communicate decisions and progress to finance executives, process owners, key users, technical teams, vendors, and program management

• Mentor consultants and key users; review deliverables and support knowledge transfer and reuse

Requirements

• At least 5 years of SAP functional experience, including at least two end-to-end implementations or major transformations from discovery/design through go-live/hypercare

• Ability to independently deliver functional work packages (scoping, estimation, design, configuration, testing, handover)

• Strong SAP S/4HANA Finance experience (Universal Journal, Business Partner, parallel accounting, modern closing/reporting)

• Deep FI expertise across G/L, AP, AR, asset accounting, bank accounting, taxes, and period-end closing (new G/L, parallel/multiple ledgers, document splitting)

• Strong CO expertise across cost center/cost element accounting, internal orders, product costing, and profitability analysis

• Experience facilitating workshops and advising senior stakeholders; resolving cross-functional issues in international environments

• Strong functional specification, test design, defect management, data validation, cutover planning, and end-user documentation skills

• Working knowledge of finance master data, migration objects, reconciliation, authorizations, controls, and audit requirements

• Structured, detail-oriented, customer-focused approach with strong communication and problem-solving

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international business, audit, security, and technical teams

• English proficiency (B2–C1), written and spoken

• Relevant degree in business informatics, business administration, industrial engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
