Description

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications end to end—from backend APIs and microservices to responsive front-end interfaces. Build Java-based RESTful services and Angular/JavaScript front-end components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Mentor developers, lead technical discussions, and drive coding standards, best practices, and release execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and implement APIs, microservices, and front-end components

• Build responsive, dynamic user interfaces using Angular

• Develop and unit test Java-based RESTful services and Angular/JavaScript front-end code

• Translate requirements into functional system designs (backend and frontend)

• Lead technical guidance and mentorship for developers

• Create technical designs for new systems and enhancements

• Review design documents and provide feedback on architecture, approach, and estimates

• Participate in and drive Release Planning, including Change Request (CR) management

• Represent the team in Enterprise Release Management (ERM) calls

• Support end-to-end release execution, including deployment and post-release validation

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and support applications across environments (backend and frontend)

• Work with DevOps tools including Jenkins and uDeploy, and use Git

• Use API management platforms such as Apigee; research and recommend tools to accelerate development

• Collaborate with business, design, and technical stakeholders; manage priorities and deadlines

Requirements

• 10+ years overall experience in full stack development: Java/J2EE, REST API, Spring Boot, Angular, XML, JSON, Swagger

• 8+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services

• 5+ years of Angular, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML

• 5+ years of GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools

• Experience writing unit tests for both Java and JavaScript code

• Experience using Agile methodologies

• Experience with Release Management (Release Planning and Change Request management)
