• Call: ~1 week/month (night and weekend); typically 0–2 calls/day

Description

Join a community-based Hematology/Oncology practice supporting both outpatient and inpatient care. You will manage adult patients only with an average caseload of ~15 patients/day (about 2 new patients/day), roughly 2/3 Oncology and 1/3 Hematology. Work with support from 1 NP and a virtual hematologist, using Epic EMR; no inpatient chemotherapy and no bone marrow biopsies or lumbar punctures are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care including pre-treatment visits, established follow-ups, and new Hematology and Oncology consultations

• Conduct inpatient hematology/oncology consultations and rounding, plus hospital follow-ups

• Participate in tumor board

• Coordinate radiation oncology as needed

• Provide inpatient and phone consultations during night/weekend call

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology

• Fellowship training required

• Double board certification preferred

• PA license preferred; IMLC candidates considered

• Ability to complete standard credentialing within ~90 days

• Less experienced physicians may be considered
