Description

You will turn live game and business data into answers about what’s working, what isn’t, and what to do next. You’ll work closely with founders, game design, live ops, and UA to own analytical questions end-to-end, define and track KPIs, build dashboards, and run A/B tests. You’ll query and analyze Firebase event data in BigQuery, support cohort/funnel/LTV analysis for live ops and UA, and improve the data pipeline while monitoring data flow health across the analytics stack.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics questions from problem framing and analysis to recommendations

• Deep-dive into player data (retention, engagement, monetization, economy, PvP, player segments) to find the “why”

• Define, track, and report game/business KPIs

• Build and maintain dashboards the team uses

• Design and analyze A/B tests and assess statistical significance

• Query data in BigQuery on top of Firebase events

• Support live ops and UA with cohort, funnel, and LTV analysis

• Build and improve the analytics data pipeline (event tracking → Firebase → BigQuery → dashboards)

• Monitor analytics stack and data flow health (Firebase, BigQuery, AppsFlyer, ad networks, backend) to catch broken events and discrepancies

• Build numerical intuition across the team and help non-analysts interpret data

• Propose analytics processes, standards, and tools as the studio grows

• Use AI tools to speed up querying, analysis, and reporting

Requirements

• 4+ years in data or game analytics in mobile games (ideally live F2P)

• Strong SQL and hands-on BigQuery experience

• Experience working with Firebase Analytics data

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT, scheduled queries, data validation)

• Experience building dashboards with a visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense)

• Solid A/B testing and statistics fundamentals

• Critical, data-driven mindset; question numbers before trusting them

• Ability to explain findings to non-analysts and translate them into recommendations

• Practical know-how using AI tools (e.g., Claude / Claude Code) for analytics work

• High initiative and proactive search for insights

• Good English
