Description

Provide emergency, critical, and basic respiratory care under physician orders and ensure therapy equipment is properly operated. Follow organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory/accreditation standards while maintaining ethical and compliant care. Complete patient documentation using computerized charting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy care in accordance with physician orders

• Perform emergency and critical care as needed

• Ensure correct operation of equipment used for respiratory therapy

• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory/accreditation requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years Respiratory Therapy experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory therapy; credentialed by NBRC

• BLS

• Understanding of medical terminology

• Ability to use computerized charting

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple assignments and balance priorities

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing

• Ability to collaborate and interact professionally

• NRP required if working in nursery
