Description

Coordinate and drive early engagements on product architecture, feature definition, and program execution for Responsible AI (Safety). Collaborate with partner organizations to establish policies, standards, and processes that support ethical and safe deployment of machine learning models, spanning the program lifecycle from planning through on-time delivery and deployment. Communicate clear status updates and critical issues to executives while translating complex technical requirements into actionable roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Communicate: Provide clear, timely, and objective program status updates and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Coordinate: Drive engineering and design alignment by breaking down complex topics into discussion items.
• Plan: Create and manage timelines with dependencies and critical paths; manage risks and mitigations and re-plan as events warrant.
• Execute: Ensure on-time delivery and deployment; define achievements for checkpoints and status updates.
• Problem solve: Proactively identify issues and solutions; marshal resources, prioritize tasks, and track risks to support schedule and product quality (including cross-functional dependencies).

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in project or program management shipping products driven by machine-learned systems to worldwide users
• Experience designing delivery of multiple significant client/server software products requiring large organizations (100+)
• Project management skills structuring and managing multiple interdependent work streams
• Detailed understanding of testing, build, and release processes for sophisticated software
• Proven ability to negotiate and distill complex technical requirements from multiple partners into a coherent long-term platform roadmap
• Data-driven decision-making; experience leading metrics-driven programs/projects
• Experience with group facilitation, interviewing, and strong influence skills
• Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including negotiation, presentation, and influence
• Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, timelines, and communication strategies
• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or engineering (or equivalent technical experience)
