Description

Collaborate with domain experts to conceive, model, and evolve emerging optical device concepts and systems for future platforms. Use quantitative device and optics knowledge to connect theoretical device modeling with physical design, prototyping, and characterization. Work through the full R&D lifecycle and communicate technical findings to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, analyze, model, optimize, and evolve new and emerging device concepts for future systems

• Apply electronics, optics, physics, and engineering knowledge to understand and optimize interactions between optical devices and computational systems

• Participate in hands-on design, prototyping, and characterization of devices and systems

• Communicate plans and technical results via meetings, written reports, and presentations

• Continuously learn and adapt to new technical concepts and methodologies

Requirements

• BS in optoelectronics/electromechanical, optomechanical, or similar engineering degree

• Experience designing, fabricating, and characterizing devices and/or systems; experience with time-sensitive, high-risk projects

• Experience in electronic and optical device modeling and designing concepts and systems around them for computing and/or other functionalities

• Expertise modeling electronic and optical devices operating within systems
