Description

Hands-on web engineer to build and enhance modern, responsive web applications with a focus on React and TypeScript. Own features end-to-end, integrate with modern API architectures, and ensure quality through testing, accessibility, performance, and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Next.js and Angular.js
• Create reusable components, hooks, services, and application patterns for maintainability
• Translate product requirements and UX designs into accessible, responsive, high-performing experiences
• Integrate applications with REST, GraphQL, BFF, and other API architectures
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript (plus opportunities with Java, Python, .NET, or Go)
• Own features through technical discovery, estimation, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
• Apply modern React patterns for state, data fetching, caching, routing, and rendering
• Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress)
• Use development tooling such as Vite, Next.js, Storybook, ESLint, npm/pnpm/Yarn, Nx, Turborepo
• Use AI-assisted development tools with human review, security, and quality standards
• Collaborate on component libraries/design systems with UX designers
• Apply accessibility standards (semantic HTML, keyboard access, ARIA, WCAG)
• Improve performance (code splitting, lazy loading, caching, image optimization, Core Web Vitals)
• Follow secure coding, privacy, and dependency management practices
• Contribute to CI/CD, cloud deployments, and monitoring/observability
• Participate in pull requests, code reviews, discovery, architecture discussions, and estimation
• Communicate tradeoffs and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior engineers
• Work within Agile teams and adapt to changing requirements and technologies
