Description

Own and build end-to-end media format services for a programmatic advertising platform, from video/image ingestion and processing through APIs to low-latency delivery and rendering in web players and third-party interfaces. You’ll build production-grade backend services and the customer-facing React interfaces around these services. Ensure production quality with security, monitoring, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate media services end to end: ingestion, processing, APIs, and production delivery
• Build low-latency, high-throughput backend services
• Work hands-on with video/image pipelines and web players embedded into third-party interfaces
• Own production quality including security, monitoring, observability, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate cross-functionally and raise the bar for how backend systems are built and run
• Iterate quickly with safe testing against real traffic
• Contribute to next-generation ad products and formats
• Use modern AI development tooling as part of daily workflow

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including running production systems
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript (or comparable language) with backend focus
• Strong React experience for customer-facing interfaces
• Hands-on AWS experience: ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS, CDK, MediaConvert, CloudFront
• Practical media experience: video and image processing, media delivery, and embedding web content/players into apps, news sites, and e-commerce
• Experience taking a product from idea to production ownership, including monitoring and long-term maintenance
• Strong computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices
• Experience building systems handling structured but skewed and noisy data
• Experience with AI-enabled development as part of everyday workflow
• Based in Europe; comfortable working in an English-speaking distributed team
