Description

Lead the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express. Own frontend strategy and the technical roadmap, while partnering with clients and product/IT teams to deliver integrated experiences for restaurant technology ecosystems. Provide hands-on support through coding, code reviews, defect resolution, standards, and performance/security improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of scalable web applications (architecture through production release)
• Own frontend strategy, overall architecture, and technical roadmap
• Code features and user stories; review code; resolve defects
• Build multi-page application experiences using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and Express
• Design scalable React architecture (headless, atomic design, state management, API integration, error handling, performance optimization)
• Integrate with restaurant ecosystems: online ordering, POS, payment providers, loyalty/rewards, identity/auth, location services, push notifications, promotions/offers, analytics/customer engagement
• Apply end-to-end solution thinking across backend services, databases, reporting, accounting, and downstream processes
• Lead third-party integrations (POS, payments, commerce, and other business-critical systems)
• Manage risks and technical dependencies; coordinate testing; prepare production releases
• Partner with IT, product management, marketing, and engineering on planning and delivery
• Establish coding standards, best practices, architecture patterns, documentation, and technical guidelines
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented code for long-term maintainability
• Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and optimize existing applications
• Ensure performance, quality, responsiveness, availability, and customer experience
• Monitor metrics and crashes using tools such as DataDog, Splunk, App Insights, or New Relic
• Support CI/CD practices and unit testing frameworks
• Apply application security and networking knowledge; stay current with modern engineering practices
