Description

This role supports medical supply distribution by providing sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instrument sets, and related materials to wards, clinics, operating rooms, and other hospital locations. You will pull and replenish stock, receive and distribute items, monitor expiration dates with stock rotation, perform daily bar-coded inventory counts, and resolve discrepancies between records and physical counts. You will also assist customers with supply information and maintain assigned secondary areas using aseptic principles.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock inventory/material for delivery; replenish and maintain stock-level records

• Communicate supply/equipment/procedure concerns to the Lead or Supervisor

• Provide information to customers about medical supplies

• Monitor expiration dates; rotate stock; remove outdated items

• Monitor and control critical supplies

• Perform daily inventory using bar-coding equipment on a set schedule

• Resolve record vs. physical count differences

• Distribute supplies according to established or ad hoc needs using computerized inventory systems

• Deliver supplies in a timely manner, ensuring sterile/operational condition

• Prepare specialty carts

• Clean assigned secondary areas following aseptic principles

• Receive supplies into the medical center catchment area
