Description

Design, build, and directly deploy scalable enterprise cloud architectures with a focus on GCP in alignment with mission objectives and IT modernization strategies. Configure and secure hybrid cloud environments through connectivity (VPN/Interconnect) and API integrations between on-premises legacy systems and GCP. Perform a dual-hatted function combining enterprise architecture work (e.g., DoDAF/UAF roadmaps and documentation) with hands-on engineering such as Infrastructure-as-Code, data pipelines, deployments, governance, FinOps controls, and DevSecOps CI/CD guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and secure hybrid cloud environments connecting on-prem to GCP
• Build and maintain enterprise data schemas and hybrid storage solutions
• Engineer and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines and database operations in GCP
• Create resilient infrastructure roadmaps across compute, storage, and networking
• Translate business requirements into production-ready GCP solutions and author system design specifications
• Deploy approved cloud architectures and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) blueprints
• Author and maintain architectural documentation and visualizations using DoDAF (and other required frameworks)
• Configure automated cloud governance and FinOps controls (e.g., tagging, IAM constraints, automated shutdown)
• Research and evaluate new GCP services; execute pilots/sandboxes/proof-of-concepts
• Architect and prototype multi-cloud solutions using cloud-agnostic tools and Kubernetes/Terraform standards
• Engineer secure data mobility pipelines across clouds
• Establish DevSecOps policies/SOPs and implement automated DevSecOps pipelines (CI/CD)

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• 1 year of specialized experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining cloud services and data pipelines (ETL/ELT, data warehouses), preferably on GCP using cloud-native services such as BigQuery/Dataflow
• Experience translating enterprise architecture policies into hands-on cloud engineering designs and configurations
• Experience authoring/maintaining architecture roadmaps and blueprints using frameworks such as DoDAF, UAF, or TOGAF
• Experience engineering, prototyping, and implementing cloud-based system improvements with cross-functional teams
• Ability to perform technical analysis and hands-on system modeling of program architectures for secure cloud modernization
• Security requirement: Non-Critical Sensitive
