Description

You will build and maintain moderate-complexity integrations that connect client and product systems, following established engineering and integration standards. The work spans API development and testing, XML/JSON payload mapping and validation, database access, and end-to-end troubleshooting across environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations using C#, .NET, REST APIs, XML, JSON, Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL

• Clarify integration requirements, API contracts, data mappings, validations, and expected system behavior in story grooming and technical discussions

• Develop, consume, and validate REST APIs (HTTP methods, request/response structures, status codes, authentication, headers, and error handling)

• Use Postman to test payloads, analyze responses, and troubleshoot integration failures

• Work with XML/JSON transformations and validation; troubleshoot malformed or unexpected data

• Use Entity Framework and LINQ for data access and querying

• Use SQL to investigate and troubleshoot data issues and validate integration results

• Troubleshoot defects across development, QA, UAT, and production support; analyze logs, requests/responses, payloads, database records, configuration, and error messages

• Manage source control in Git (branching, commits, pulls, merges, conflict resolution)

• Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD, builds, deployments, work tracking, and basic pipeline troubleshooting

• Understand and make basic React frontend changes when integration functionality requires UI updates

• Manage Jira tickets and follow issues through development, testing, and deployment

• Participate in peer code reviews focusing on coding, security, maintainability, and integration best practices

• Support production issues, deployments, and business-critical activities as needed during occasional weekends/off-hours

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development or integration engineering experience (API-based and enterprise integrations preferred)

• Strong working knowledge of C#, .NET, object-oriented programming, and common design principles

• Hands-on REST API development/consumption with knowledge of error handling, logging, validation, authentication, configuration management, and reusable integration practices

• Strong XML/JSON skills for parsing, validation, data mapping, and troubleshooting payload problems

• Good SQL skills including joins, filtering, data validation, and troubleshooting

• Experience using Postman for API testing, authentication, and response analysis

• Solid Git knowledge (branching, commits, pull requests, merging, conflict resolution)

• Agile and Scrum experience including sprint planning and story grooming

• Strong problem-solving with ability to trace failures across systems rather than single components

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve end-to-end integration issues

• Willingness to work occasional weekends/off-hours on rotation

Benefits

• Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 USD; paid hourly (non-exempt) with overtime eligible
