  • Focus: Integrations across API, application, and database layers

Description

Build and support moderate-complexity integrations that connect client and product systems. Work across application, REST APIs, and database layers using established engineering and integration standards, with responsibility for development, testing, deployment support, and troubleshooting over time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrations independently using C#/.NET, REST APIs, XML/JSON, Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL

  • Clarify integration requirements, API contracts, data mappings, validations, and expected system behavior

  • Develop, consume, and validate REST APIs (HTTP methods, request/response structures, status codes, authentication, headers, error handling)

  • Use Postman to test payloads and troubleshoot integration failures

  • Handle XML/JSON transformations, mappings, and validation; troubleshoot malformed/unexpected data

  • Use Entity Framework and LINQ for data access, querying, and manipulation

  • Use SQL to investigate data issues, validate integration results, and support development/testing

  • Troubleshoot integration defects across DEV, QA, UAT, and production; analyze logs, requests/responses, payloads, database records, configuration, and error messages

  • Manage source control in Git (branching, commits, pulls, merges, conflict resolution)

  • Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD, builds, deployments, work tracking, and pipeline/deployment troubleshooting

  • Make basic React frontend updates when integration requires UI changes

  • Manage Jira tickets through development, testing, and deployment

  • Participate in peer code reviews (coding, security, maintainability, integration best practices)

  • Support knowledge-building of core product and integration workflows and the business domain

  • Provide occasional off-hours/weekend support for critical production issues and deployments

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development or integration engineering experience (API-based and enterprise application integrations preferred)

  • Strong working knowledge of C#, .NET, object-oriented programming, and common design principles

  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, including error handling, logging, validation, authentication, configuration management, and reusable integration practices

  • Strong working knowledge of XML and JSON (parsing, validation, data mapping, troubleshooting)

  • Good working knowledge of SQL (joins, filtering, data validation, troubleshooting)

  • Experience using Postman for API testing, authentication, payload validation, and response analysis

  • Solid understanding of Git (branching, commits, pull requests, merging, conflict resolution)

  • Agile/Scrum experience (sprint planning, story grooming, iterative delivery)

  • Strong problem-solving and ability to trace failures across systems (API, application, XML/JSON payloads, database, configuration, deployment)

  • Ability to work with Product, QA, DevOps, Integration, and Support teams to resolve end-to-end integration issues

  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or off-hours on rotation

Nice to have

  • Entity Framework and LINQ experience

  • Azure DevOps build/release pipelines and CI/CD concepts

  • React familiarity for integration-related UI support

  • Visual Studio debugging and logging techniques
