Description

Architect, build, and scale backend services and APIs using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core, integrating with legacy systems, third-party APIs, and existing data models. Apply agentic AI development practices (AI coding agents) to accelerate backend design, coding, testing, and code review, including AI-assisted CI/CD workflows. Support agentic and LLM-powered experiences via reliable backend APIs/services such as streaming responses and robust error handling.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend services and APIs; integrate with legacy systems and third-party APIs
• Apply clean architecture, SOLID, dependency injection, and repository/service patterns for maintainability and scalability
• Implement agentic development workflows and CI/CD pipelines leveraging AI agents for code review, test generation, and deployment validation
• Design backend APIs/services for agentic/LLM experiences (streaming responses, resilient error handling, orchestration integration)
• Collaborate with frontend and AI teams on integration with agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and real-time data needs
• Participate in end-to-end delivery from scoping and prototyping through production deployment
• Diagnose production issues using logs, monitoring, and telemetry
• Contribute to backend build/release CI/CD pipeline health in Azure DevOps (branching, environments, troubleshooting)
• Capture deployment learnings and document/share best practices to improve core AI platforms and frameworks

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents/agentic tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) throughout the development lifecycle, including within CI/CD
• Experience designing/building REST APIs with authentication/authorization, versioning, and robust error handling
• Practical SQL Server experience: query optimization, stored procedures where appropriate, Entity Framework/Core, and data modeling
• Azure experience with App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, Application Insights, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps CI/CD practices
• Experience with enterprise-scale apps and complex integrations, including legacy systems
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems (event-driven patterns, async processing, retries, resiliency)
• Ability to apply modern architecture patterns (SOLID, dependency injection, repository/service, clean architecture)
• Automated testing as a core development practice (unit, integration, mocking)
• Zero-trust security mindset for secure API development and secrets management; OWASP-aware practices
• Ability to diagnose production issues using logging/monitoring/telemetry (e.g., Application Insights)
• Strong code quality practices (code reviews, frequent PRs, refactoring, manage technical debt)
• Ability to work within and modernize large complex enterprise codebases
• Degree-level qualification in a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
