Description

You will help keep applications running smoothly by organizing and automating work with infrastructure. Day to day, you will manage environments (development, test, production), improve Jenkins-based CI/CD, monitor systems via logs with useful alerts, and automate backups including restore testing. You will also diagnose incidents, perform updates and service work, and document practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain development, test, and production environments and ensure server/container configuration

• Develop Jenkins pipelines for testing, building, and deploying applications

• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and configure alerts

• Oversee databases, background queues, and scheduled tasks

• Automate backups, validate them, and test restore procedures

• Diagnose failures, apply updates, and perform ongoing maintenance

• Automate repetitive tasks and keep practical documentation

• Optionally build small features, integrations, and internal admin tools depending on needs and skills

Requirements

• Practical Linux experience and maintaining web applications

• Docker, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD knowledge

• Ability to diagnose problems from logs and monitoring

• Basic networking: DNS, HTTPS, and secure configuration of services

• Backup experience plus maintaining PostgreSQL and Redis

• Ability to write simple scripts (Bash or Python)

• Codex familiarity, including reviewing and testing proposed changes

• Higher technical education in a STEM field
