Description

Architect and implement cloud data warehousing, lakehouse, analytics, and agentic AI solutions on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Define best practices for Snowflake governance, security, performance, and cost efficiency, including governed and auditable access for AI agents, and integrate Snowflake with open lakehouse and streaming/integration services. Use Snowflake AI coding and agent capabilities (e.g., CoCo and Cortex) to accelerate delivery and deliver governed AI agents and conversational analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build Snowflake-based data platforms (warehouse, lakehouse, analytics) and AI solutions
  • Establish data governance, security, performance optimization, and cost-efficiency practices in Snowflake
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, and cloud architects for end-to-end delivery
  • Integrate Snowflake with open lakehouses (Apache Iceberg), streaming/ingestion (Openflow, Snowpipe Streaming), AI/ML frameworks, and visualization tools
  • Apply Snowflake CoCo to accelerate SQL, dbt models, pipelines, and AI applications with review guardrails
  • Design and deliver AI agents and conversational analytics with Cortex AI and Snowflake CoWork using governed semantic views
  • Advise on modernization, including migration from legacy on-prem systems using AI-assisted tools (e.g., SnowConvert AI)
  • Support pre-sales and solutioning (estimations, proofs of concept, technology assessments)
  • Stay current on Snowflake innovations and data/AI industry trends
  • Communicate and document designs clearly, considering performance and cost

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (performance tuning, security setup, data sharing, automation with Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing data platforms in at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Expert SQL, data modeling (3NF; star/snowflake schemas), and ELT/ETL design patterns
  • Proficiency in Python (or similar) for data transformation, orchestration, and automation
  • Deep understanding of cloud data architecture (open lakehouse concepts like Apache Iceberg; API integration; event-driven architectures)
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, EU AI Act)
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps for data workflows (Git, dbt, Snowflake CLI, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development (e.g., Snowflake CoCo, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and ability to review/validate AI-generated code
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Benefits

  • Permanent employment contract
  • People Lead support and professional development plan (including coaching sessions)
