Description

Lead the design and development of scalable Snowflake data platforms, dimensional models, and reliable data pipelines for regulatory reporting and enterprise analytics. Set technical direction and standards across SQL and code quality, security, and regulatory compliance, while optimizing performance and cost. Drive consistent engineering practices (modelling, lineage, automated testing, CI/CD, observability) and mentor engineers to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Snowflake data platforms, dimensional models, and data pipelines

• Define technical direction and ensure standards for quality, maintainability, security, and regulatory compliance

• Optimize Snowflake performance and cost (query tuning, warehouse sizing, workload management, monitoring)

• Establish engineering practices for modelling, lineage, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, observability, and operational resilience

• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor engineers to improve the data platform team

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on Snowflake experience building enterprise data warehouse solutions

• Advanced SQL and strong dimensional data modeling

• Experience building reliable ELT/ETL pipelines and orchestrated workflows using Python and data integration tools

• Proven Snowflake performance and cost optimization for high-volume workloads

• Secure cloud data engineering knowledge (RBAC, data protection, auditability, lineage, regulatory compliance)

• Demonstrated technical leadership via solution design, code reviews, CI/CD/testing, stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring
