Description

You will develop and maintain real-time embedded control software for traction converters, auxiliary converters, and battery chargers. The role includes architecture, implementation, and verification of firmware for motor control applications, with a strong focus on advanced motor control and power electronics. You will program, debug, optimize, integrate communication interfaces, and support system diagnostics and HIL testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy real-time control software for traction and auxiliary converters, emphasizing advanced motor control and power electronics
• Write, debug, and optimize embedded firmware in C/C++ for TI C2000, ARM Cortex, and other microcontrollers
• Design, refine, and validate FOC, vector, and sensorless control algorithms for AC motors in traction applications
• Integrate communication interfaces (CAN, TRDP, SPI, I2C) and support embedded system diagnostics and communication handling
• Use MATLAB/Simulink and other modeling tools for algorithm development, simulation, and verification
• Collaborate with system engineers and test teams to ensure the software works smoothly with converter hardware and VCU control architecture
• Participate in Hardware-in-the-Loop tests, startups, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of control software
• Work according to STACON processes and contribute to process improvements
• Prepare technical documentation, take part in project reviews, and support customer projects
• Support junior developers through knowledge transfer

Requirements

• Degree in control engineering, computer science, embedded systems, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Several years of embedded software development experience for motor control, power electronics, or real-time systems (traction converters or industrial drives are an advantage)
• Expert knowledge of C for embedded systems
• Strong understanding of asynchronous motor control algorithms, power converter topology, and MCU architectures (TI C2000, ARM Cortex)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, TRDP, SPI, I2C) and embedded communication stacks
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform measurements related to converter software/hardware
• Fluent English
