Description

The team develops a testing strategy to reduce reliance on the full infrastructure, increase test stability, and shorten time to results. You will rebuild existing Playwright E2E tests toward isolated UI tests using API mocks, and practically roll out the new strategy across subsequent product teams. This is a role bridging test automation, frontend knowledge, and test architecture.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Playwright tests and the frontend application architecture

• Migrate E2E tests into more isolated, stable, and scalable UI tests

• Create and modify automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript

• Mock API responses to isolate tests from unnecessary backend and infrastructure dependencies

• Decide which scenarios should remain E2E and which should move to lower testing layers

• Identify duplicate, flaky tests and issues in the current test structure

• Collaborate with frontend teams to implement the new testing strategy

• Support engineers in adopting new standards: share knowledge and justify technical decisions

• Use AI tools to assist analysis and test migration

Requirements

• Experience working with Playwright and automated tests for web applications

• Solid frontend knowledge and understanding of how the UI works and how it communicates with APIs

• Experience with test migration, improving test processes, or implementing new tools

• Experience analyzing metrics and shaping a testing strategy

• Ability to analyze existing test architecture and propose improvements

• Self-sufficient working style and experience collaborating with developer teams to drive adoption of new standards
