Description

You will design and evolve SharePoint Online as a central organizational knowledge base and a key data source for Generative AI, RAG, Microsoft Copilot, and Azure AI. The role combines SharePoint, Knowledge Management, and Information Architecture with AI to enable effective use of organizational knowledge by employees and modern AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design SharePoint Online architecture for the central knowledge base

• Create and evolve site structures, document libraries, hub sites, and knowledge spaces

• Define information architecture: metadata, taxonomy, content types, document classification, content ownership, and lifecycle

• Design publication, versioning, update, and archiving standards

• Ensure data quality and structure used by AI solutions

• Prepare SharePoint as a data source for Generative AI, RAG, and Azure AI Search

• Collaborate on document extraction, chunking, embeddings, indexing, and retrieval processes

• Design integrations with Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft Graph Connectors

• Collaborate with AI teams to optimize search quality and RAG effectiveness

• Design solutions enabling the use of organizational knowledge in portals, search, chatbots, Copilot, and AI agents

• Work with knowledge owners to improve quality, structure, and completeness of documentation

• Prepare architectural documentation, standards, and recommendations for knowledge management

• Collaborate with security, enterprise architecture, and Responsible AI teams

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with SharePoint or Microsoft 365

• Very strong knowledge of SharePoint Online capabilities for document and knowledge management

• Very strong understanding of information architecture: metadata, content types, taxonomy, and knowledge structure modeling

• Understanding of authorization, security, and access management for AI systems

• Ability to design scalable solutions for large organizations

• Ability to create architectural documentation and diagrams

• Effective collaboration with business, technology, and architecture teams
