Description

You will work closely with the CTO to shape the technical direction, making and explaining architectural decisions while staying deeply involved in implementation. The role includes guiding a growing engineering team, designing and extending a real-time, low-latency, auto-parallelizing simulation framework, owning API design, and evolving the software stack and ecosystem (including front-ends and enterprise tools). You will also help establish best practices for code review and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Guide engineering through design discussions, code reviews, and collaboration

• Design and expand a real-time, low-latency, auto-parallelizing simulation framework

• Develop the software ecosystem with front-ends and enterprise tools

• Choose and evolve the software stack

• Own API design

• Collaborate with the CTO and Project Manager

• Establish best practices for code review and CI/CD

Requirements

• Significant experience designing and building APIs and complex software, with substantial recent hands-on programming

• Experience providing technical leadership to other software engineers

• Strong experience with concurrent and asynchronous programming

• Good judgment about software architecture, designing orthogonal, simple yet efficient APIs

• Clear written and spoken English

• Ability to convince through dialogue, embrace technical debate, and own mistakes

• Lead by example with tolerance and respect
