Description

You will take end-to-end responsibility for the technical target-state AI architecture and continuously improve it for the DIN group. The role focuses on defining AI architecture standards and reference architectures, coordinating architecture reviews, and integrating AI solutions (models, agents, platforms, and data architectures) into the enterprise architecture while aligning with security, privacy, and AI governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical AI target architecture for the DIN group

• Establish technical standards and reference architectures; ensure quality, security, scalability, and operational readiness

• Coordinate architecture reviews and technical approvals

• Serve as a central interface across DIN e. V., subsidiaries, business areas, IT security, data protection, legal, and external technology partners

• Develop the AI target architecture based on AI strategy, business needs, and the current IT landscape

• Conceptualize and integrate AI solutions, models, agents, platforms, and data architectures into the enterprise architecture

• Select and standardize AI technologies and vendors considering technical, business, legal, and economic requirements

• Implement MLOps/LLMOps, security, data protection, and governance standards for development, operations, monitoring, and quality assurance

• Advise business teams on AI use cases and provide technical support for the AI foundation, architecture reviews, and PoCs

• Harmonize AI solutions across the DIN group

Requirements

• Completed (Fach-)university degree in IT, digitalization, engineering, or comparable

• Multi-year experience in solution, enterprise, data, or cloud architecture plus hands-on practice in AI/ML, generative AI, and integration architecture

• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agents, embeddings, vector databases, and APIs

• Experience with cloud AI platforms, especially Azure, as well as containerization and MLOps/LLMOps

• Good understanding of information security, data protection, and AI governance (Responsible AI, model risks, EU AI Act requirements)

• Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable architectures and standards

• Very good German and English skills
