Description

You will work as a Quality Engineer in the automotive sector on PPAP-based qualification of new parts and on comprehensive quality documentation. The position covers support for serial production ramp-up (process acceptance and capability assessment) and coordination of quality improvement actions. You will also help manage customer requirements and make quality decisions when nonconformities occur.

Responsibilities

• Carry out part benchmarking/qualification processes for new details according to PPAP requirements
• Prepare and archive project and quality documentation
• Develop process flow descriptions, control plans, and other quality documentation
• Coordinate activities related to introducing new products into serial production
• Organize process acceptances and support production capability evaluations
• Create and manage PPAP documentation and customer-required documentation
• Support project teams in assessing product and process feasibility
• Initiate continuous improvement initiatives in quality
• Train employees on quality requirements and quality containment
• Decide on quality of products and processes in case of quality nonconformities

Requirements

• Knowledge of PPAP requirements
• Ability to create and analyze quality documentation
• Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, and Control Plan
• Experience preparing documentation for customers and supporting part benchmarking processes
• Ability to collaborate with project and production teams
• Automotive quality experience
• Preferred: IMDS knowledge
• Preferred: SAP knowledge
• Preferred: Experience conducting process audits and assessing production capability
• Preferred: Knowledge of VDA requirements and specific automotive customer requirements
